What really matters...

What will your children remember about you...

As I was emptying the dishwasher today that question popped into my mind and it started a domino effect of thoughts that has plagued me for the morning.

Questions about priorities, what really matters and things that steal your time... Just pondering points that haunt me. Now I don't dwell on what I have missed but I am thinking what I need to change or more like it *embrace*. To linger on...

Walks in the park...
The smell of my sweet baby Jake...
The giggles of my two older children playing...
The goodbye kisses of my dear husband...
Deep (or not so deep!) conversations with my best girl friend...

So many things to be thankful for! And so many things to be plugged into.

Lord, let me sort out what to declutter out of my life, help me to be a full participant in my wonderful life that you have given me! Allow me to be the mom my children can have great memories of when I am gone.

Saw this quote and I have to steal it! "SEIZE THE DAY. MAKE YOUR LIVES EXTRAORDINARY." I am off to do just that. Will you join me?

  1. Love this post and totally agree with you!!! It's a great reminder to focus on what is important. I've been trying to declutter stuff as I think it will help declutter the unimportant out of my life.

Need to have less computer too. *sigh* That one is harder. I'm with you though!

Loved hanging out with y'all!!!! Can't wait until we can do it again!!!

    love
