Just when you feel things are going well and you have everything together, bam, you are hit with reality that *you* can't do things on your own.
Psalm 40:8 says:
I desire to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart."
Sometimes it isn't easy to do His will. It takes dying to flesh and making choices based on faith. Faith that God will carry you through whatever trial you are enduring.
It isn't always easy to do God's will. I catch myself making excuses as to why I am above what God desires me to do. I make deals with God saying "well, I won't fall into that trap if I do this..." But I need to stop those deal making statements that are lies from the enemy. I need to step out and just do what He wants me to do even when I don't want to. He knows the big picture!
I am thankful that He resides in my heart, that His soft gentle voice guides my every step and that if I listen to Him, and obey his word, my life will be full.
So may the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong
Bring a smile to You...
